I enjoyed school and learning new things but I hated doing exams. I would always do better in my lessons but when it came to exams I would freak out. I put a lot of pressure on myself especially when it came to tests/exams and I got really stressed over them. I decided not to go to uni because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study... so I started working and my first job as an admin assistant and then worked my way up to compliance coordinator.
Then I turned 20 and thought I really need to get a qualification because I’m getting older, and I wasn’t enjoying my job anymore. So, I left my job and did some research on different industries and did some free online courses in marketing and digital marketing and really enjoyed it. I then did an online professional diploma in digital marketing social media marketing. I passed my exam and knew I had to get experience in this field so I found an unpaid internship, and did it for 6 months, but it wasn't so great working for free! I then did a second professional diploma in strategy and planning on digital marketing because I really wanted to learn more. Then I got my current job with hundo as a digital marketing assistant!
I just started and I feel like I’m learning so much already from my team. I’ve learnt how to use HubSpot (CRM system), learnt how to use Webflow to build the website, wrote my first article for our website, and helped plan for some future projects.
I usually take part in video calls a few times a week with the companies we are onboarding to get to know people better and I spend a lot of time working on our social content which is fun.
