JustPark exists to make car parking more affordable, more convenient, and more sustainable. It started with one simple (but brilliant) idea: to connect drivers with unused driveways, garages, and parking spaces. Launched in 2006, our award-winning platform made it easy for homeowners to make the most of their unused assets, whilst helping the UK grow its parking network in a uniquely sustainable way. We’ve come a long way since. Today, we have a thriving community of 45,000 space owners, and also manage parking spaces for some of the UK’s biggest county councils and car parking companies. Together, we bring our car parking simplicity to over 5m drivers every year. But as we’ve grown, our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community remains. Supported by our dedicated, diverse network, we’re bringing new solutions to the UK’s transportation needs - from electric vehicle charging to mobile payments. Really, our journey has only just begun.
I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2019 having studied Politics & International Relations. However, finding my first role post-graduation was incredibly difficult. I couldn’t find anything that was really ‘me’ and as a result I ended up bouncing between a number of temp position roles such as Customer Service for Ocado and working in mergers and acquisitions for an insurance company.
From the back of this experience I realised that I wanted to do a role that was client facing, and something that would lean into my people skills. However, I couldn’t really find a company or a role that I could see myself settling into long term. I eventually found JustPark in October 2020 and I haven’t looked back since!
For me, JustPark has given me so much value, in both my personal and professional life. I’ve really been able to grow at the company over the last 10 months, work with amazing people and make great memories. I feel excited to come to work every day, and you feel that you are working towards something that is so much bigger than you!
Inside Sales is very much focused on B2B (business to business) relations, cold outreach calls with a diverse range of clients. One of my favourite projects to date at JustPark was an EV (Electronic Vehicle) project, a 4 week project where we set ourselves the task of building the 4th largest EV charging network in the UK. It was a great learning experience for me as well as great exposure to the future of the industry and how I can play a part in it.
The success of this project is clear to see, we recently were able to announce that we had over a thousand EV Chargers on the network. It’s really great to see the value in your work and how that will benefit the population.
