Digital & Social Media Coordinator

As a Digital and Social Media Coordinator in this role, you will get to spread your wings across three fantastic brands - Mayamiko The Label, Madeby_ and the Mayamiko Trust.

Your role is key to engage with our existing communities on social media, and reach new audiences online. Social media is where our online community meets, chats and engages and is where our products and brand stories get discovered. 

Our following is loyal and committed as we engage them with rich content in different formats about topics they care about and you will play a key role in developing this much-loved community even bigger!

There will be lots to get involved with such as working with Senior Management to assist with developing a growth strategy for our social media channels across all three brands. You’ll also be able to get involved with the website too, assisting with the landing pages, blog pages and web content - ensuring that socials and the website all connect seamlessly.

You’ll help develop, manage and execute the all important content calendar as well as being responsible for creating social media and website assets such as images, videos, reels to really drive engagement and get those likes, comments, shares and web traffic flowing!

Influencers are big business, so you’ll be helping to define the UGC (User Generated Content) plan as well as helping with defining and executing the organic influencer strategy including the ‘affiliates network’

There will also be work with the e-commerce and web manager and working with paid media consultants too - you will definitely not be bored!

What makes a mega Mayamiko team member?

  • You love fashion, but particularly have an interest in sustainability and the impact a fashion label can have on a community.
  • Social media is your thing! You are extremely confident with Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. You probably have our own Instagram and TikTok accounts and take a real interest in keeping up with social media trends.
  • You would say you are the creative type - alongside social media you enjoy writing, photography and video making (even if this is just on a phone, it counts!) You’re not afraid to get in front of the camera either!
  • You understand that all brands have a unique voice and can learn quickly how to use this voice as part of your role.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it! (if not, Google it)

  • If you have some experience/knowledge in design and editing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe XD) or similar transferable tools this would be ace.
  • If you’ve used any of the planning tools before such as Trello, Hootsuite this is also a plus.

Don’t worry too much if you’re not a pro in the above, they are not essential to you getting the role.
