Product Manager

A product manager is a person that is responsible for the development of products for Hundo, when we say product what that really means is tech! So that’s building our website, bespoke projects and coordinating all the people that put time into making this site a success. Product managers own the strategy behind a product, work on defining its key functions, and generally manage the launch of features

what you’ll be working on

We have been awarded funding to create a prototype that enhances interactivity and engagement for young people and their future careers, built using gaming technology. We require a Junior product manager to support our product lead. to help drive this project you will get to:

  • Help build and articulate our product vision to a growing team, breaking its delivery into meaningful and achievable goals.
  • Work on a key area of a completely new product, aided by an autonomous and talented multidisciplinary team (Engineers, UXers and Designers,)
  • Planning the pipeline of delivery and the prototype’s launch, working closely with our founders and contractors to manage dependencies and overlapping user journeys
  • Translate user needs into compelling user stories

Things we look for in you
  • A keen desire to learn how to build platforms, ideally with experience in gaming/ game development (think Minecraft!)
  • Commercially minded, think about how the product you are going to be building will be applied in the real world, we have to sell this thing after all!
  • Care about the ‘why’ above all else and are prepared to cut through the noise to get there. We have a limited budget so why are we building certain things before others.
  • Ability to organise and inspire designers and engineers with a clear and inclusive plan of attack.
  • Help with laying on  workshops and involving others in decision making
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, able to challenge and influence team members who may be older than you!

How does a career collab work?

Career collabs are new, created by hundo to make sure you can start a career with companies that care. hundo has built loads of strong relationships with companies across the UK that want to invest in young people and help you grow. Our collabs are all about progression and we only work with businesses that are willing to put their time into helping you build a career.

Do I need to send my CV?

We don't care about CVs, we care about you. We believe in helping the real you shine, and that means getting you in front of the company as quickly as possible. Of course we can't make them magically disappear but we help take away the stress of getting it right and show you how to put together something that represents you.

Are there any real people I can speak to?

This is at the heart of what we are trying to do at hundo. We believe real careers are built on real relationships and our team will work with you to get you in the door and get you going in a new career as quickly as possible. We won't just hand you off to another HR person, we make sure you only speak to the right people and take the hassle out of the applying.
