Youth Worker Academy - Bus Worker

Picture this - you get to drive a double decker bus and help local teens in your community. Winner!

As a Youth Work Academy Bus Worker you will develop your skills whilst you support disadvantaged young people in your community.

Working in the XLP Outreach team you will have the opportunity to work on and drive the XLP ‘Mobile Youth Centres’ in South East London. AKA a double decker bus! You’ll be driving the mobile youth centres from their garage to the estates where the youth sessions are ran from.

These mobile youth centres enable a team of experienced youth workers to provide a range of services for young people. Whether table tennis or trivial pursuit, cooking or competitions, games consoles or group discussions, FIFA or Forza, XLP use their buses to help London’s young people create their positive future and you can be a part of this.

Apart from being a bus-driver extraordinaire you will get to help with mentoring young people aged 11-18 and help them engage in positive opportunities, helping plan the youth sessions and helping to organise and run day trips and special events.

  • You pick new things up pretty quickly and adapt well to changes and challenges.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it (if not, Google it!)
